Thanks Guys!!!! You are doing an AWESOME job in my humble opinion. I am going to play around with the tracker tags and labels to see what tricks I can come up with or suggestions. I already know that I'd like to be able to set bandwidth usage and priorities for, say "Tracker A", "Tracker B", and "Everything Else". I am going to see how select-all in the tracker views works for this. At times, especially during say a freeleech, I want to make sudden changes by tracker. Or say on a new tracker, as I'm coming to a ratio limit, I'd like to tweak them all at once. Once I have time to play with it in actual use I think I might have some more ideas to bounce off you guys. I am SO GRATEFUL that you took my idea for being able to list by tracker!!!!! It is SO HELPFUL!!!!! THAANNNKKK YOOOUU!!!
That just needed to be said! And I LOVE that I get the counts (# of torrents) in parenthesis after the tracker and label names. I have not played with Labels much but am thinking they may be useful as I move my room-mates on to using my Deluge instance via the WebUI or (if it's ready, haven't checked) a Windows client. That way we could label them with our names. Other ideas I have for playing with the labels is to mark torrents by category and (hopefully) be able to move them to different completed directories. Like Movies go here, Documentaries go there, Music goes to another spot, eBooks yet another depository. (Sorry to those with pun-humor deficiency). I have not tried it but I hope the Move Torrents feature can work off a label and/or or tracker tag.
Two ideas I can see down the road are, first, ad-hock listings (List all torrents from these three trackers, List all torrents from this tracker that are also in downloading status, List all torrents from tracker A with a "Movie" label, or even cooler, Restrict all views to torrents labeled "Tim", or alternately, List all torrents from Tracker A with labels "Movie" and "Tim"), and second, the same sort of ad-hoc way to create Move Torrent rules. Move torrents labeled "Mike" and "Misc" to directory X. Running 380 seeders and considering multiple users gives you lots of reason to ponder "management" aids. I am curious how many seeders some of the other users out there try to run, and what their experiences or "management" techniques may be in their usage.
I am also curios to see how the daemon does with multiple clients attached simultaneously. One feature I will put in a request for soon, after I have had time to think about it more, is a way to see bandwidth usage per tracker group. That could be real useful once in a while.
And finally, one day, the visual part of my brain will long for a graphing / charting plug-in. But even with my lust for features I am still eternally grateful to you devs!!! I absolutely LOVE Deluge! I LOVE the split into a daemon-ized back-end, and I love the per-tracker lists like you wouldn't believe!
Keep up the good work!
