the scheduler would control the queue and bandwidth settings so there's no need for a force download (as that can already be done by unticking "auto managed").
in terms of UI, the general consensus seemed to be a cron like interface, like a rule table as roger_ramjet put it.
Whether or not the original interface (clickable grid) should be still implemented is probably a better question (has less control but arguable more user friendly?).
I also agree per-torrent scheduling seems to much trouble for what it's worth.

Re: Scheduler 1.0
Perhaps the clickable grid can be for the basic tab and the cron like mode can be in the advanced tab?
Re: Scheduler 1.0
People who want a cron-ui u should just use cron : http://dev.deluge-torrent.org/wiki/Scheduling
I think the 1.1 scheduler should be like the old 0.5.x one , simple for non-cron users.

What's cron? lol
Seriously though I'd probably never use either.

Re: Scheduler 1.0
As for cron..
Personally i would prefer something integrated into the client.
I want something that is OS agnostic. I know there are windows versions of cron (http://www.cronforwindows.com/) etc but i would rather implement something straight into the client.
I think perhaps (depending on how hard it is) is to have a CRON like rule designer which automatically updates a the graphical grid adjacent to it.
You could also work the other way. When you edit the graphical grid it will create appropriate rules in the CRON part.
Its probably time for me to get off my lazy ass and learn to use Glade designer and whip something up for comments.

windows-scheduler / winat provide similar functionality to cron.

Not completely! I've had too much stuff going on and haven't been able to work on it. However, there is someone working on the back-end of a new plugin, so the wheels are in motion!Freakapotamus wrote:so I guess this plugin is dead then
Anyone who has experience designing interfaces with Glade is welcome to help
