Re: our users

There is the option to priorize the first and last pieces of torrents - which is nice, but not always that helpful. µTorrent has the option to priorize rare pieces. Which is truely interesting, as it stabilizes the distribution. Thus, my question: Does libtorrent allow for weigthening pieces that ar...

Re: Why Deluge wasn't chosen as default in Ubuntu

Testing Hardy, I tried Transmission 1.06 quite some time. While I must admit that it's nice, easy and reliable (it uses miniupnp-client), the GTK version just doesn't compare to the Cocoa version. Additionally, it doesn't support multiple trackers and editing them - meaning you are stuck with the fi...

Re: Proxy Server "Anonymizing Browser" Down

Sure, there's a thing about 'begging'... don't get me wrong:

People tend to feel more like giving if they know there's a need... especially if, technically, they caused it.
As it is now, many users will just complain about the feature being gone.. never realizing what impact it had.

Re: Please simplify the preferences

Deluge is still in Universe - and Transmission is much better than the standard BT client.
Sure, it offers less Options and Plugins than Deluge... but the normal BT client hasn't any.

Thanks.

And I still hope it won't cause you any legal trouble.

Re: I'll stay with 0.5.7.1

i'll say it again...the search and browser *DO NOT* increase memory or cpu usage at all if you have them disabled. heck, they dont even show up if you have them disabled, so you can pick and choose. That's not the point. There are two points: they break the idea of plugins - heck, torrent search wa...

Re: Torrent notification suggestion

It would be great if an option to attach the notification bubble to the deluge icon (like Rhythmbox does) would exist, too.

Re: 0.5.8RC2 released

0.5.8RC2 reported that there is a new version (i.e. 0.5.8) - with update notification turned off.

Why? It shouldn't check for new versions if it is turned off.

Re: 0.5.8RC2 released

Allow removal of browser icon from toolbar Thanks... it still would be good for torrent-search & anon-browser to go back to plugins.. especially if even file-selection and network-health are plugins. On the other hand, the detailed progress bar now is somehow broken - it's late to display chunk...
