With utorrent I use a specific port number all the time. So in deluge I set both the outgoing and incoming port to that same number (utorrent's support collectively has Aspergers, so I'm jumping ship :roll: ), but I noticed there is a port number selection for the daemon as well. By forcing encryption, you will only connect to peers that support encryption, this could be a factor to slower upload speeds. Blame Firefox! Go to edit, preferences, applications and make sure firefox does not handle torrent downloads. If it does, disable it and make sure deluge is enabled. Worked for me! I'm using Ubuntu Hardy 8.04.

Uploading Speed very poor
Hi, I just switched over from XP to Ubuntu. I used Utorrent on XP and my upload speed was always well over 100KB/S, but with Deluge (inside Ubuntu) I'm lucky to hit 40K. I do not believe in the 80% ratio as I've tested that hypothesis to the max for a few years now. I keep my uploads at maximum over...
