Deluge
My internet connection is up to 16 Meg down.
I've been messing around with the settings but I'm not having much luck getting it working the way I want.

Excuse my denseness but whenever I'm downloading torrents I'm unable to browse the net with any speed.
My internet connection is up to 16 Meg down.
I've been messing around with the settings but I'm not having much luck getting it working the way I want.
I'm after decent torrent speed (around 8-10 Meg) and the rest for web browsing etc.

Not quite sure you can get quite that fast of speed, also keep in mind those are kb/s not kB/s... speed tests typically show kb whereas Deluge uses kB. Take your test results shown there and divide by 8 and that's approximately the speed you should set in download/upload respectively. To be extra safe to allow for browsing and such, set upload to 10% less that rated speed.
Based on your download speed I would think your upload speed should be maybe a bit faster, you're only going to be able to upload at maybe 78kB/s at that current rating that site gave you. And, just a suggestion, that max upload slots seems way high, and max half-open connections as well... you can probably set download to unlimited though.
