Hello
It is about time I am looking for a new BT client since uTorrent 1.7.7 isnt safe anymore
& 1.8 has messed up many features. I tried Halite, but I am not convinced.
I now want to give Deluge a try, but there seems no stable version of it as yet. And
also I got this warning...
Please note that the Windows version of Deluge is quite a bit less stable than our
Linux/Unix client, as Deluge is developed on Linux. Actually, it is probably safe to say
that everything is less stable on Windows, not just Deluge :-p
I am not concerned about "everything" since as far as uTorrent was concerned, it was pretty
stable. Therefore, I need 1st hand opinion whether I should download Deluge for Windows XP.
I am a regular torrent user & leave many of the transmissions unattended. If this is an unstable
thing, I will be forced to wait till a stable one is released & tested.
Please let me know.
Thanks.
Andy.

Also, why is the installation file like 22 MB ?!!
Is Deluge really ok for Windows?
Re: Is Deluge really ok for Windows?
you would probably be best using 0.5.9.3 seeing the latest is still a RC.
the only drawback with the 0.5 branch is that some users would get a Visual C++ fatal error after leaving it run for various amounts of time.
the reason it's 22mb is because it requires python.

Re: Is Deluge really ok for Windows?
There's only a very few plugins in the RC releases blocklist, search, peers list built-in, files list built-in. If you need the more advanced plugins I would recommend 0.5 line.
I use Vista there's no longer c++ errors, just the x64 issue and the workaround for the slowness. If you can get around/through those issues I would say RC is OK.
