Deluge doesnt start

Hello, im using ubuntu 7.10.
Well... the problems started when i upgraded to 0.5.7 [rc2], when i tried to run it, the only thing it did was to show the window for a second and close. So i decided to return to the Ubuntu supported 0.5.4.1 and it did start but with 3 old torrents and when i try to remove them deluge freeze. I think is a problem with my personal settings does any one know where does deluge stores the personal settings like .torrent files. O and where is installed deluge also, because i searched it in usr/lib but no luck.
