Deluge 0.9.04 not forwarding ports

Post by Otto »

Hello guys..I am using Ubuntu 8.04 and Deluge 0.9.04 and the torrent client won't see my already forwarded port from my router. I have, also, enabled the firewall and allowed connections on the specific port but still nothing.

I'm having the exact same problem. Check out your preferences under "Network". You'll notice that if you uncheck "Random Ports" and then specific a specific port (in my case 9000-9000), the "Active Port" is still being generated randomly, i.e. deluge is completely ignoring your specified port. I've noticed this behavior in 0.9.3 and the current 0.9.5

It works for me. Are you hitting 'Apply' after changing the ports?

Yea.. that's the strange thing. I click apply, (after unchecking and setting a static port), and the active port still says like 60777 instead of 9000. If I tick the "use random ports" box and click apply, the active port changes. Then if I untick and click apply (when the from and to ports = 9000), the Active port changes *again*, but not to 9000

This used to work fine on the last 0.5 version. I am using Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) package for x86_64 systems

You know what, I just realized by freakin random magic my Twonkyvision server uses port 9000 ! I've used 9000 for like years for p2p (thought it was random enough), but it looks like this fun program decided to hijack it.

Sorry for all the confusion! I feel like a newb :)

Ah yes, Deluge will pick a port in the 40000+ range if the port range selected is not available.
