Still using fiesty how can I install latest version?

There doesn't appear to be a .deb package anymore which I normally used.
I got the one from here https://launchpad.net/~deluge-team/+archive
but it came up with dependency is not satisfiable error

I know I should probably upgrade to at least Gutsy by now but I've got quite a bit installed and running on fiesty and it's all running fine for the time being so I'm not so keen on upgrading just yet

I did have a go at that before I posted but fell at the first hurdle.
It always seems to be the case with anything I try to do unless I have a .deb

That was the first error I got so I googled cc1plus and then installed g++ and tried again

By now I'm figuring I don't have all the dependencies installed, but I've been running Deluge for quite a while already so why did it work before and not now? ( you don't have to answer that I probably won't understand any way )
It looks like the easiest thing might be to just start all over again with Gutsy.

In the readme, they have list all the dependencies, just make sure you have them all installed before trying to install again.
however upgrading from feisty is probably a good idea, I would probably suggest skipping gutsy and going straight to hardy.

Well, I have successful so far in building .deb packages for a distro that is mostly based on Debian Etch (Simply Mepis) though it does have more up-to-date Python packages. I've put them up for sharing at the Package Sharing forum at mepislovers.org...They might run on Feisty, if the Python dependencies are OK.

The reason you can't build Deluge, even though you have the run dependencies installed, is you also need the build dependencies. These are usually the -dev packages you see in Synaptic; they are also known as header files, or "includes."

Somewhere a couple of months ago at that forum, I did post a pretty complete guide to building a .deb file of Deluge...you could follow it and share it with fellow Feisty users.
