Additional DHT Nodes

Post by Paint »

I found the following site that lists more dht_bootstrap_nodes than the default ltconfig / deluge values:

https://nodes.tox.chat

It is also available via JSON: https://nodes.tox.chat/json

Do you think that's needed? I got Cas to add a few more a couple years ago, just in case, so we now have I believe 5 or so, including Arvids own and default hard-coded one. I've never had issues bootstrapping the dht personally.

Anyway, you most likely need opening a ticket for Cas to decide upon this ;)

adding the DHT servers gives me almost 400 DHT connections versus 200 with the defaults. I set the dht_bootstrap_nodes manually via ltconfig so I dont need Cas to make the change. Though, this would help other users who dont use ltconfig.

Thanks for the explanation :) I just use the defaults and the dht count from time to time switches between 65 and 395, but thanks for the post and suggestion.
