I'm curious if any of the developers are interested in Ono support? Slashdot had a blurb on Ono today and the premise sounds good: Basically, enhance BitTorrent to prefer closer peers over remote peers in order to reduce internetwork bandwidth consumption (and as a side benefit, decrease overall transfer times assuming the blurb is accurate).

Currently, there appears to be an Azureus plugin.
Interest in Ono Support?
Re: Interest in Ono Support?
looks interesting, ISPs in my country (Portugal), categorize traffic as National(traffic from a Portuguese IP) and International, and commonly give us lots or unlimited traffic for national downloads and low limits for International downloads, some ISPs even throttle the speeds giving the National traffic a higher priority, so I think something like ONO would significantly increase download speeds over here. In the other hand it could also result in slowing down our download speed because most of our ISPs offer in their products a very slow upload speed in comparison to the download. For instance my connection is 18Mbit down/512kbit up, and our fastest residential product only offers 24Mbit down/1Mbit up. But I certainly would give ONO a try

from the slashdot article there seems to be a dispute over whether or not it's actually an improvement.
