Torrents don't reach maximum connection limit

Post by jabalsad »

Hi,

I have a server with 10Gbps internet connectivity (up and down). Whenever I download torrents with deluge, I seem to hit a maximum of around 30 (sometimes up to 33) connections per torrent, even though these are high quality torrents with many seeders. I tweaked the bandwidth settings using the deluge web UI, but no luck - it still only uses around 33 seeders. When I download the same torrent using another app on the same box, it downloads ten times faster.

Any idea what could artificially be limiting the number of seeders it connects to?

For reference, my settings are as follows:

Maximum connections: 2000
Maximum upload slots: 4
Maximum download/upload speed: -1
Maximum half-open connections: 1000
Maximum connectoin attempts per second: 500
Per torrent settings all at -1

Deluge version: 1.3.13-0~trusty~ppa1
OS: Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS, Trusty Tahr

Is the thinclient an option for the time of a config? (if not already in use)
Install the plugin Itconfig in the thinclient and go to the preset, enable the performance one and test.

Oh wow, that made a massive difference! Why is this not the default?

Many thanks for your suggestion *bow*

;)

The itconfig plugin change libtorrent values, not Deluge. But I agree it should be better highlighted.
