I'm a new Deluge user and setup the peer, web seed, tracker, and dht to go through a proxy. They all use Socksv5 W/ Auth through Private Internet Access.
The tracker status of my downloads says publicbt.com: Error:
My fear is that the traffic isn't going through the proxy that I configured. Do I need to be worried about this? When I use TorGuard's Check My Torrent IP tool everything appears to be ok.
One final question. I assume if something happens to the proxy Deluge is smart enough to just not download anything. Is that correct?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm a Deluge newbie too but in my experience it seems to bypass failed proxy connections and connect directly to the peers. You can see the actual network connections with netstat or Tcpview. This one is another good tracker check: http://ipmagnet.services.cbcdn.com

That seems to fall in line with my other post HERE. I don't think I like this behavior that much. What am I missing? It doesn't seem like this is very safe.harrycrumb wrote:I'm a Deluge newbie too but in my experience it seems to bypass failed proxy connections and connect directly to the peers.
