Change path without moving?
Change path without moving?
As my hard drive filled up, I wanted to point to the network attached drive I had the same files. I found that moving the files actually had it try to move the files rather than just point to the new location. Is there a way to just change the source path for the file rather than have it overwrite a file?
Re: Change path without moving?
I somehow managed to add this torrent and file from another app with no problem, but I have a 126 GB file that I had in two places. One on a network-attached device and another on my local drive. Since this file isn't getting as much traffic now, I wanted to remove it from my local drive and point to the Z:\Torrents\ instead of D:\Torrents\
I removed the torrent then added a new torrent, pointing to the network folder. I set download to 0.0, but it immediately started downloading.
Now I can't seem to force a recheck on the file. Am I going to have to use another torrent application to seed this file now or is there a way I can import the existing file? I'm on Windows 10.
Edit: I hate how this program manages folder selection and display. I somehow managed first to direct this torrent to the Z:\ drive instead of Z:\Torrents\ then when I tried to redo this operation, the path reset to D:\Torrents\. Because the path only shows "\Torrents" I had no idea I was on the wrong drive letter without locating the torrent, selecting it, and seeing the path there. It seems to be checking it now.
