Deluge is one of few torrent clients, that allows users to set uploading to zero. I tried this possibility, but there has been some “leaks” occasionally. I've set..:
- outgoing ports from 0 to 0
- max upload slots to 0 (global)
- max upload slots to 0 (per torrent)
- max upload speed to 0,0 (global)
- max upload speed to 0,0 (per torrent)
- total active seeding to 0
- share ratio limit -0,0
- seed time ratio 0,0
- seed time (m) 0
Even with these settings I still get sometimes Up Speed of about 0,1 – 15,0 KiB/s on some torrents. This happens only occasionally, maybe about once in every 50 torrents. But when it happens, it happens constantly on that same torrent => If I stop downloading and start it again, so does that uploading.
This irregularity seems a bit weird, so what am I missing here..? I know torrenting is about downloading and uploading, but as a feature this interests me. Could it be a leak of some sort, or do I need some other settings?
I'm using Deluge 1.3.6 - libtorrent 0.16.11 - Kubuntu 13.10 and an OpenVPN connection.
Deluge uploading – even if not intended
Re: Deluge uploading – even if not intended
My settings are not as strict as carlespuyol's, but I've never had a torrent successfully stop seeding after hitting the set ratio or seed time.
