Weird problem - Deluge duplicating downloaded files to home

It seems Deluge or something is duplicating my downloaded files from my target folder (on my media download partition) to my home folder on the filesystem partition. I have all the settings done correctly in Preferences as far as download location - and indeed, the files DO download to the correct location, they just also seem to copy over to the home location as well, filling up that partition every time.

I am running:

Ubuntu 12.04
Deluge 1.3.5
Libtorrent 0.15.10.0

Check your logs for the paths it is downloading to

The same problem here: the download path is ~/torrents and after completing the download, the file gets "duplicated". In one specific instance a 2.3 GB file was copied 64 times.
