Seeding, Raspberry pi, and Deluge

Post by sdpiuser »

I'm sorry if this might have been covered but I can't find it. I have been using Deluge sucessfully for a bit of time here... but the problem I have is seeding. I can't get it to work and don't know enough about it to know what I'm not doing right. I have gone through hours of trial and error only to end up frustrated and back to the same place where I started.

If someone is running this same combo I'm using Win 7 on my desktop... my raspberry pi is nicely tucked away next to my router with a USB HD and works great! When it comes to seeing... I can get the interface to say it is seeding... but nothing gets uploaded..

Does this sound like something maybe someone might know something about? anything? Suggestions... there doesn't seem to be a very user friendly guide or troubleshooting site .... So I do hope someone can offer some assistance!!

Thanks
bro

You need to make sure the ports deluged listens on are open in your router and properly forwarded to the correct IP.
When reporting issues, please include any relevant information such as OS (and version), python version (for Windows users this depends on which Deluge installer was used), Deluge version and plugin version.

I understand that much and have been always told to set a range for some reason... I port forward on my router... but still nothing... I even use a program PFportchecker to see if there is access to the port and nothing... I know I'm just doing something wrong with some setting but don't know quite what..

When I hit the little test active port next to where I put the port in .... in Deluge... I get a little triangle caution ! no other info.... but I'm guessing that tells me something isn't working..... maybe a firewall? I have Symantec running.. or is it a firewall setting in the router? just gets frustrating cause I just don't know enough about it.. any advice? suggestions? would be nice to figure this out and I'm sure someone out there knows!

I should also add I am using Deluge on the raspberry pi a daemon if that is correct... and it has a Daemon port listed... so ... what port do I forward? one in the incoming section? the one listed on the Daemon or both... again sorry for my ignorance I'm trying to learn but find more roadblocks then answers.

Thanks in advance...
