im trying to add a torrent to another site but for some reason when i add the torrent file, sometimes it just adds the tracker to the other torrent rather than checking the files and everything.
the issue with this is:
1.it does not show the torrent in the trackers view except in just the original torrent
2.it doesnt appear to actually work. it never seeds and the site registers no seeds/ i'm not seeding.
this is set up as a daemon for a seedbox. doesnt appear to change if i use the webui.
is there a setting somewhere for this?
Deluge 1.3.5 daemon adding identical torrent/diff tracker
Re: Deluge 1.3.5 daemon adding identical torrent/diff tracke
tried updating to 1.3.6 and no change.
Re: Deluge 1.3.5 daemon adding identical torrent/diff tracke
If the torrent already exists Deluge will not add it however as you point out it will add any new trackers to the existing torrent so I am not sure what you are requesting to be changed?
Re: Deluge 1.3.5 daemon adding identical torrent/diff tracke
It would also benefit me to be able to add them as different torrents. Private trackers. I don't know if it is a bug laying elsewhere, but the fact is that only the tracker you uploaded the torrent to, shows it as seeding and works at all. Peers from the second tracker are not able to see or connect to you or vice versa.
Re: Deluge 1.3.5 daemon adding identical torrent/diff tracke
Deluge follow the bittorrent spec for multiple trackers so only if a tier fails will the next one be used.
Re: Deluge 1.3.5 daemon adding identical torrent/diff tracke
And that is the problem. There should be some way to make it use BOTH trackers at the same time. The clearest way would be option to add it as a seperate torrent (aka it would ask if you want to update the trackers or not)
It is kinda important because otherwise the torrent is going to be auto-deleted from the inactive tracker because no seeders. And I dunno but even if they are the same tier it still won't seed to both

Re: Deluge 1.3.5 daemon adding identical torrent/diff tracke
I have a similar question, and being a bit clueless and new when it comes to torrents, I hope I am not retredding ground here: I belong to multiple private movie trackers, and when using utorrent in the past, was able to upload the same torrent to multiple sites, as separate torrents in the client (there would be one active torrent, ratio, and data for each tracker the torrent was uploaded on). With Deluge, I got a message that this can only be done twice. I was wondering if there is a way to work around this

doesn't this cause problems with how ratio is calculated on private trackers?
Re: Deluge 1.3.5 daemon adding identical torrent/diff tracke
It doesn't even show up on more than one tracker. And client ratio / tracker ratio are unrelated.flip970039 wrote:doesn't this cause problems with how ratio is calculated on private trackers?

So, basically, you can only cross seed a torrent once with deluge?
