How best to install a new version?

I have an older install of Deluge, which no longer works. I need to update, but I'm unsure of the best way to go about this. There doesn't seem to be an update feature. Is it best to uninstall the old version and do a new installation? If so, do I lose my data (for example, my list of active torrents) if I do that? Or do I simply install over the current installation?

I'm using a Windows XP Pro laptop.

What version have you already got installed?

Just install the latest version, 1.3.5, it's a minor version update so will not change anything.
