Howto for newb

Post by splendidweeds »

I have not found anything that would tell me what to do with deluge once it is installed and running.
I can find stuff on http://torrentz.eu and download the .torrent file, but then what?

The creator of the package cleverly arranged that deluge will do nothing unless you go to edit->preferences->interface and check the enable box for "classic mode".
After that, it is intuitive.
Only geeks can find this. Fortunately, I have taken the geek test, and it says I are one!

By default Deluge is installed with classic mode enabled. Disabling it puts Deluge into thinclient mode which allows you to connect to a separate deluged either locally or remote.
