Last Stable Deluge for WinXP?

Post by JXBlack »

I haven't run Deluge for the last 6 months. I tried to install 1.3 rc2 but all I get is the flash of the DOS box. What is the most recent stable version of Deluge that can be successfully installed and run on WinXP?

Thanks

Why would you try RC2 and not the final release?

Thanks for your reply.
I tried it because it was at the bottom of the the page and I presumed it was the most recent. I have no idea what rc2 means and i didn't notice that the most recent version was dated 18 Sept. I will try that one now. is it necessary to uninstall the Rc 2 version or the GTK2 prior to installing the nes version?

Thanks again

Each version comes with the option or capability to install gtk, so, to answer your question no, you do not need to install rc2 or gtk before installing final version.
(in the best practice you should uninstall old versions before installing new versions, but again it shouldn't be necessary unless you run into errors or something not working as expected)
