0.5.8.5 Released

Post by markybob »

I'm pretty happy about this release...I realize that I've probably just cursed myself, but oh well. :) Quick list of changes:
* Fix force recheck
* Auto scraping of tracker if it doesn't report number of peers on reply
* Fix web seed proxy preference
* Fix adding of duplicate torrents
* Fix timers for saving fastresume and uploaded memory
* Fix rechecking on start
* UPnP fixes
* Fix possible libtorrent crash in storage

Packages are available at http://download.deluge-torrent.org

Hey,

Lovely release and yup, lets both cross our fingers and hope everything is A-ok..

I've been using it today, it works great so far, no crashing etc, the icons/font sizes are how most people have said they prefere them, (smaller) which makes the client look nice and tidy too i might add.. Also just checked the UPnP port forwarding and that seems to be working a treat with this release..

Great work, pat on backs! Just need to concentrate on keeping ahead of the traffic shaping measures ISP implement..

Thanks for this client,

I just had a try.
Rechecking every single file again. Great..I tell you when it's finished. :evil:
-------------

It's EVEN WORSE :evil: :evil:
Deluge checks about 25% of all torrents and creates .fastresume files
Ending Deluge + Starting it again results in checking the other 75%. But it doesn't create a singe.fastresume for them. So on the next run it will check again 75%. And again. And again....Hell no.
I'm going back to 0.5.8.4.
If I only could.
Why is the uninstaller not working? It removes the Deluge directory, but not the settings! I want to uninstall, not to delete only the directory - which I can do by myself without the help of any superhero Windows tool.
What if the the settings are mistaken and cause all the trouble? I guess they are not changed by updating to the current version...

settings are preserved but as creating fastresume files isnt a feature the user can change i would assume it would be fixed in code but i could be wrong. other things have been fixed and are working fine now such as seed torrent to ratio saving the ratio instead of it setting back to 0.00 when you close.

Good news that the fastresume issues are resolved.

The links to the packages on the download page are still pointing to 0.5.8.4.

nope. your browser's probably just caching it. load up http://deluge-torrent.org/dl.js and refresh it manually

From the testing I did and others did, the fastresume on exit issues should have been resolved. It could be that you are hitting some rare-case that we didn't experience in testing. If it's still not working then I would suggest clearing your config, re-adding your torrents and seeing if that fixes the problem for you.
