Daemon works until I log into the machine

I opened my thinclient setup on my windows box only to find all my torrents frozen. I restarted, and everything was working, until I logged in. I blew away everything deluge from my machine, and reinstalled it. After reconfiguring everything, the issue persisted. Thoughts?

I of course forgot to mention that the actual daemon is running on an Ubuntu 9.04 box amd64.
