how to ignore duplicate torrents?

im using a script which automatically downloads torrent files into the auto load folder
sometimes it will download a duplicate torrent and deluge will ask me if i want to import the trackers or something
then no more torrents will get loaded until i click cancel.. how can i fix this?

I would attack this problem at the script level. Make your script check for duplicates before it downloads the torrent.

What version of deluge are you using?
AFAIK this doesn't happen in the latest version (1.1.9).
