Deluge 1.1.6 kills Internet for other applications

Just installed 1.1.6, and when now when I download files, Deluge locks up my internet connection for what seems to be all other applications. Well, at least those I checked, two browsers and a Pidgin.

I'm on Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex and I haven't experienced anything like this with the previous version of Deluge I've been running, 0.5-something.

Now I found an old thread about this. Not that it was much help, but I wanted to add here, that the killing is only temporary and only restricted to this computer. My internet connection is shared with two other computers, and they work fine when I run Deluge here, and internet returns to me as soon as I quit Deluge.
