I am unsure if this issue has been posted somewhere else, I went through the forums but didnt find anything so here it is.
I am having an issue where I am running deluge 1.1.2 on a ubuntu machine 8.04 on my network in daemon mode. I then use a ubuntu 8.10 with same version deluge to connect to said deluge daemon. Connection happens fine, I get the list of current torrents and everything appears ok. The issue I am having is i go to add in a newly downloaded torrent file, it adds it in but never refreshes the torrent listing showing the new torrent, until after I disconnect wait at least about 10 secondssometimes longer then reconnect. While connected i am still receiving updates on the torrents that were already downloading, like download speed, percentage done etc. it just seems like newly added torrents are not being added to the display of remote clients. Also it seems that the daemon does not update the client deluge if any settings are changed ie max global speed. Any ideas?
Remote Client not updating new torrents
Re: Remote Client not updating new torrents
Seems like you may have a firewall inbetween the client and the daemon.. The daemon needs to connect to the signalreceiver on the client side to send it updates such as a new torrent has been added or a config value has been changed. This is an unfortunate limitation of this version and will be fixed in 1.2 with the new RPC method.gorlak120 wrote:I am unsure if this issue has been posted somewhere else, I went through the forums but didnt find anything so here it is.

Re: Remote Client not updating new torrents
Just a post to say that i am experiencing the same problem. I'm running a headless Ubuntu Intrepid server with deluge in daemon mode. When connecting to it from my Fedora 10 or Windows Vista machine i experience exactly the same problem, which i fix with a quick disconnect and reconnect. The webUI seems to update straight away. Its weird though as i have no firewall on my Fedora box or Ubuntu server :S
Not a huge problem, just a little annoyance
Guess ill just have to put up with it till the next version
