Blocklist import problems.

Post by mirker »

Hi, I've been running deluge for some half a year now and it has been working flawlessly :)
But recently I've encountered a problem. The blocklist won't import anymore. No matter what blocklist I choose, it downloads and then it gets stuck att "importing: 0". Really annoying, any tips?

Bluetack is down they've been having same hosting issues as they keep exceeding their bandwidth limits, as you can see here

Is it possible to use lists from http://iblocklist.com/lists.php? If so, how? i.e. the level1 blocklist!

It works if you download the list, extract it, and choose peerguardian text (uncompressed) and point it to the local file.

Newbie here, so please be gentle. :)

I've just installed v0.5.9.3.

Is there a way to import multiple blocklists? I can get it to import one, but if I do another the second one seems to remove the entries from the first.

How does one import local files? Everything I've tried makes it whine about not being able to resolve a URL.

TIA!

I don't think there is a way to import multiple blocklists into deluge, however you could import multiple blocklists into peer guardian for instance and then no need for the blocklist plugin.
Local files on a windows machine, you have to enter it as similar to, file:///c:/list.txt

those having problems with bluetack, we now offer our server for this:
http://www.deluge-torrent.org/blocklist/pipfilter.dat.gz
also, in the next release, this will be our default blocklist url. hopefully it'll make things easier for our users

it depends. we have absolutely no idea how much bandwidth this will take or how many users will use it...so we're starting with just this and we'll see what happens and if we have the capacity to add more.

Oh, the pipfilter instead of the nipfilter? And, how updated is it, or will it be?
And the faq is still showing the bluetack site.
