I decided to test Deluge to see what it was like. The one thing I found I really did not like about the installer was that it never let me specify an alternate directory to install the program. I do not like installing my programs into C:\Program Files because on my installations, only the operating system, drivers, and programs that might help me recover functionality of my system (including virus scanners) get put on C:. Applications get installed into D:.
As such, I consider this to be very inconsiderate behavior on the part of the installer. I would like some control over where applications get installed on my systems.
Or is this is something I can specify on the command line? That'd be nice to have, but still this is not very considerate to the computer's owner.
Thank you.

Re: Install won't allow me to specify a target directory
Well, the only one bitchin around is YOU. Deluge installs in the standard program files dir and no other choice can be made. WinINSTALL LE clearly says "[ProgramFilesFolder]\Deluge\[...]", so whatever ProgramFilesFolder is set to, THIS path will be used.
Workaround: Change the key called "ProgramFilesDir" in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ to a folder you'd like to install Deluge in. And after that, set it back, otherwise other programs with poor user input available will also install in that folder...
You may also need to change a dozen of .cmd files in the Deluge folder (%Programfiles% to your real path), as well as perhaps start the Deluge Daemon manually.
