completed files not being moved

Deluge 1.1.8 (default libtorrent from Ubuntu Jaunty Repo) on Xubunty Jaunty

I am finding that completed torrents that are single files are not being moved to my completed folder. If the torrent is a folder containing multiple files they are moved correctly but not so if it is just a single file.

Has anyone else observed this behaviour?

Also, I rolled back to the Jaunty Repo default package of libtorrent rather than the newer one found in the Deluge PPA. Are there known issues with the default Jaunty libtorrent package?

[update] upgraded back to the latest libtorrent library. Reinstalled Deluge 1.1.8

Still having a lot of problems using Force Recheck. It locks up Deluge completely while refusing to check some altogether. It always takes multiple restarts to get the force recheck flagged files to check and get a functioning interface again.
