Deluge 1.1.8 Plugins

Post by SableSlayer »

Im running Ubuntu 9.04, and have just installed Deluge 1.1.8 from source. I understand that I have not installed the plugins, but I was wondering how to do so.(specifically the blocklist plugin)

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thank you!

Blocklist plugins (and other plugins) should be installed as well.
Aren't they under Preferences->Plugins?

They simply didn't install at all, under any options in the menu, including the one you just mentioned. :(

I have reverted back to version 1.1.6, to finish downloading my torrents. Though I would like to keep things current, and go with the 1.1.8.

Did you do a: python setup.py build before doing the install?

Yes I did. I followed the exact instructions on http://dev.deluge-torrent.org/wiki/Installing/Source The only thing i did different is when the setup script said i had to download the .egg file, but it wasn't at the URL. So I found a newer version, and renamed it so the script would work. But it said it didn't need to do anything. So i guess that doesn't matter :P

I fixed the problem by installing deluge 1.1.7 though the ppv repo's and then installing 1.1.8 source. I believe the problem happen because of lack of a few dependencies.
