Deluge's misunderstanding...... :(

Post by iamcreasy »

Hallo everyone...

i want to download a torrent of 23Gb.Actually not 23Gb.I want to download only 800Mb frm the whole one.I have unchecked those that i don't wnat to download but Deluge keep saying that there is not enough disk space to download 23Gb.But i have 3Gb free space on that partition and the size of that partition is 20Gb.So i can never extend free space upto 23Gb.But i need to download those files.(one more thing, im using it in linux.)

How can i solve this problem? How do i make understand DeLuge that it can be downloaded in that space........

Is the performance of DeLuge is better in linux than windows???

Advance thanks....

I'll assume you're using the GtkUI. I tried testing this myself on Windows but nothing happened, it just accepted a torrent larger than the partition. I know you're on Linux but what version are you using?

If you are unchecking the files you don't want after you have already added the torrent, you might try this:

Add the torrent via the File > Add menu and select the files you want before actually adding the torrent. Also, in Options, you might try setting Allocation to "Compact." Don't know for sure but worth a shot.
