Blocklist plugin bug?

I'm using simplyMEPIS 8.0. Deluge works fine but when I try to activate the blocklist plugin I get an error, " Wrong file type or corrupted blocklist file." I haven't even tried to add a blocklist. Just checking the box to activate the plugin generates the error. Any ideas? I've already uninstalled and reinstalled with the same outcome.
