Hi everybody.
I installed deluge-torrent from the official repos in ubuntu and I thought it was great. I then saw that there was a newer version and added the deluge repo to install it. I installed it and saw that the options it provide are great.
However, I get a No incoming connections problem in the status bar and my downloads are very sluggish. My uploads are fine.
So, I decided to see if the problem was related to the version because the old version I installed didnt give me any problems. I uninstalled the new one and reinstalled the old one and everything went back to normal.
So, my question is Why? I want to use the latest version but it is giving no incoming connections and thus, I can only use the old one whic works fine.
Im not using any router, I connected my modem directly to my PC as in a dmz zone.
No incoming connections problem
Re: No incoming connections problem
I've got similar problem, with the difference that i use router. everything worked okay, when I had fixed port set in deluge settings and also had it forwarded, but then I decided to use upnp on my router, and change deluge's settings to random incoming ports.
Re: No incoming connections problem
I'm having this problem as well. At least, I think it's a problem. I'm not savvy enough to know. But I do have really, really slow download rates on a lot of my torrents--not all, though. I had one yesterday that was double the fastest I've ever seen. So I'm just really confused. Can someone explain what's going on?

What happens if you click 'test active port' under network -> preferences?ztrange wrote:However, I get a No incoming connections problem in the status bar and my downloads are very sluggish. My uploads are fine.
Unless you are running a software firewall (iptables), you should be connectable since your PC gets a public IP directly from the modem.
Re: No incoming connections problem
Easy workaround: don't use UPnP, forward a single port in the router, that's all you need to enjoy Delugefizyk wrote:I've got similar problem, with the difference that i use router. everything worked okay, when I had fixed port set in deluge settings and also had it forwarded, but then I decided to use upnp on my router, and change deluge's settings to random incoming ports.
