2 small problems with win xp install

Hi, I just installed, following the installation directions exactly. I can get program running and torrents to download. But when I click setting button or under edit, nothing happens. Also when I shut program down a DOS window stays open and does not respond. Need to end the process manually. Any help? can give more info if needed.

There is a bug in 1.1.3 that prevents the preferences dialog from opening, to solve this you should just pull from the stable svn branch and install that version..

Hi, thanks. but that site did not really help me. i.e. it did not hold my hand thru what I had to do. Sorry but I am not that familiar with what I have to do here and would need some more step by step instructions. If you don't mind.
