Deluge does not autoconnect to daemon

Post by Iwi »

Whenever I start deluge (and log in with webui) I see this error:

Not Connected to a daemon

Them it opts me to conect. I sleect the default (http://localhost:58846) and press connect. Everything works after that. Why can't this be done automatically?

1.0.6r and Ubuntu 8.04
I use Deluge on Ubuntu 8.04 i386

are you running deluge in classic mode?
if you're not, you need to run deluged.

In the GTK UI, under Preferences->Interface, you should see Classic mode and see if it's ticked or not.
If you just want to run deluge to use with the Web UI, it would be better to run deluged (which is just the daemon), that might also fix the error message.
