Only 5 uploads allowed...XP, 1.1.0

Post by eolith »

All upload slots (per torrent, and global) are set to -1. I was until recently running 0.5.9.3, and I've several times tried different deluge version, so there may be an issue with old installations here. But the problem is that deluge will not allow me any more than 5 uploads (any more than 5 just get turned yellow and say "queued). I had 5 upload slots in the settings before, but now it's set to -1, and I'm still getting only 5 slots. I've set everything to unlimited, but the problem remains. Help?

Reboots don't fix it. There are no other versions currently installed. All the ports are open in firewall and the router. I'm guessing there's a setting somewhere that isn't being changed properly. Is my only solution a complete uninstall, remove all possible settings in the registry and try again?

Is there a file somewhere that saves all the settings? I've looked, but nothing is apparent to me.

XP Sp3, deluge v1.1.0

So I uninstalled it, deleted the deluge folder, removed ANYTHING that referenced deluge in the registry, rebooted, reinstalled, and all the old settings and torrents loaded. Where are these configurations and settings kept?

so I found what appears to be the configuration in C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\deluge, but deleting that folder did nothing. All the settings are still remembered. So uninstalling again... and hunting for any files that come up with a "deluge" search.

You are misinterpreting what "Upload Slots" are.. What you should be looking at is the Maximum number of "Active Seeds" under the Queue settings.

Max Upload Slots is the maximum number of peers you will upload to at any given time.

ah crap, can't believe I didn't see that. I was thinking like the old version. Thanks. That solved the problem. However, I would still like to know where all the settings and stuff are kept. I deleted everything again, rebooted, reinstalled, and still it knew all the old torrents and settings.

It's in AppData something or rather in the Windows.. Isn't it on the FAQ?
