Italian visualization problems

The Deluge 1.0.* series have a visualization problem with Italian localization. The gui don't show the accented characters (à,ò,è,é) but show a strange characters with an x.

Take a look to the picture. This is Deluge-1.0.4 on Gnome-2.24.1.

This looks like it could be a problem with the translation.. Perhaps you would like to update the Italian translation to fix these issues?

go to https://translations.launchpad.net/deluge register and make the changes to the translation that you see fit

The Italian translation is ok. After some test i fixed the problem setting /etc/profile.d/lang.sh like

export LANG=it_IT.UTF-8

I'm on Slackware 12.1 with Gnome-2.24.1.
