Maximum stop seed at ratio

Post by tyskis »

Hi,

After upgrading to 1.0.4 on ubuntu intrepid, the ratios on two of my torrents got messed up. These are the stats for one of them (the other one is similar):

0.6 GB downloaded
152 GB uploaded
Ratio: 366685.105

The ratio should be somewhere around 250.

This bug led to the torrent being stopped, because it thinks it's past the (torrent specific) stop ratio of 500. To fix this i wanted to raise the stop ratio to something higher (i just want the torrent seeded indefinitely), but found out that the maximum stop ratio is 999. Would it be possible to increase this limit?

I do not want to remove the global stop ratio that is set to 4.

You can reset the ratio by removing the torrent and re-adding it. It loses all the stats though...

Yeah, thanks, i did that, but i still want to be able to have a torrent where i can seed for more than a ratio of 999, without readding it. With a good network connection and seeding the latest ubuntu release (for example) on a server that's up 24/7, that is not at all an unrealistic scenario, even without wrong calculations.

There is a checkbox before "stop seed at ratio", uncheck that.

That would make it follow the global stop ratio, which is set even lower (and which i prefer to have that way for the overwhelming number of torrents).

The auto manage on or off doesn't seem to make a difference at all in this case.

I've noticed that so what is the desired behavior of disabling Auto Managed, can some developer enlighten us :?

A torrent being Auto Managed means that it's being managed by libtorrent's queuing system, ie, obeying the active limits and seed cycling.. It will not effect the stop seed ratio stuff since that is done in deluge itself. I guess it really should effect the deluge specific queuing options, it was just never something that I had considered at the time. Perhaps even renaming it to something like "Ignore Queue Rules" would make things more clear.
