Deluge goes zombie over time

I use Ubuntu 8.04 32-bit and 1.0.3r. Over time Deluge goes into a zombie process. I can't kill/stop the process or somehow restart Deluge. I need to restart my machine. This happens after about a week or so. Any ideas?
I use Deluge on Ubuntu 8.04 i386
