Deluge will no longer respond even after reinstalling

Post by 449 »

Here's my problem: Deluge isn't freezing, it will run in the current version I have of it 0.5.4.1, but nothing responds. I can't remove, pause, add, clear, ect. I've tried doing complete removal uninstall many times with no results. I was using the latest version, but it just stopped even opening so I had no choice ,but to downgrade. I'd really like to get Deluge functional again seeing as it is my favorite torrent client by far. I appreciate your time and patience.

Thanks,

Well after reinstalling the latest verision again, it's for some reason able to open again. However, nothing responds at all. I can open up preferences, right click on torrents and view their options, but when I click something nothing happens.

It seem to be functioning again, thank you for the help, it's much appreciated.

If I may ask on the side: What purpose does the WebUI server?

the webui allows you to remotely control deluge via a web browser (although it's limited).

the idea is that you can check on your torrents or add new ones when you're away from computer (such as when you're at work/school/uni :P)

I'm having a similiar problem to the one I was having earlier, this time deluge will not even start up. Is there a release date for version .6 and will it address some of these issues?

does removing ~/.config/deluge/persistent.state fix it?

if it doesn't run deluge from terminal and paste what your error it gives you.

I don't think there's a release date for 0.6 yet however if you do find a bug, markybob can fix it and release the fix in the next 0.5.8.x release.
