Deluge often gives "directory or file not found error"

Post by doktor5000 »

Hello,

since the earlier development versions during the switch to 1.0 i often get an
"directory or file not found error" message and the torrent in questions gets paused.
Resuming does not work, mostly a forced recheck needs to be done, only then i can resume.
But i had some torrents where even that didn't work. There i had to delete everything
and readd the torrent.

What could be the cause of this problem and what does this error message mean?
The storage where the torrent goes (home partition) doesn't change during download.
Deluge is missing a piece of the torrent where it needs to save data to? Could
the error message be more verbose so that it could tell which file it is missing?

Kind Regards

does your download directory or the files within the torrent contain any special characters?
you also get that message if your download directory doesn't exist.
