those of you who are having windows stability problems, please try this installer and let me know if it's more/less/equally (un)stable? your testing will help us nail things down :) thanks! http://markybob.com/deluge-0.5.8.0.exe
please remember that this is for xp & vista. any other version of windows is not supported and never will be

I got the same problem. I decided to give this client a try but I cannot use it. Visual C++ Runtime Library installed, but nothing got fixed. I find out that after closing the error window, something called "dbus_daemon_deluge" are still running on my machine (checked through Task Manager). I hope this bit of information does help. Thanks!

Trying to narrow down these error results. I'm using Vista x64 Ultimate. I haven't had any of those C++ errors after 0.5.7.1-2
As was suggested somewhere in this forum, currently looks like .net 3.0 in installed I don't recall ever installing it myself... so whatever it did itself.
It may be related that I do have Pidgin installed.

Apparently those Vista users out there make sure when you upgrade that the dbus-daemon-deluge.exe is stopped before you upgrade, it might not copy all files if it is still running.

Actually I'm happy to report this version (0.5.8.0), I quit normally, and dbus-daemon-deluge.exe closed properly!

If this helps at all, I have found that this Runtime error occurs only under certain circumstances (at least for me, that is):
i) I am downloading/uploading a single torrent that is 2GB or larger in size. (e.g 'Torrent' - 3.4GB)
ii) I have several torrents downloading/seeding together that add up to about 2GB or larger in size. (e.g 'Torrent A' - 700MB & 'Torrent B' - 700MB & 'Torrent C' - 800MB)
iii) Deluge is hash-checking a torrent, but I start a different torrent for download BEFORE the hash check completes. (ie. move it above the torrent Deluge is checking)

Also, I have experienced this problem even when I selectively download files. Say I download only 1GB from an 8GB compilation of files...Deluge seems to know it's 8GB or something and the runtime error pops up too. Anyway, hope this helps.

I have the same error, on the same computer setup as "garnertr", under the same circumstances outlined by "Regalia". I have tried the suggestion of "unclelim" and it does not work for me.

Just like "ipohboy", I have installed the deluge version provided by "markybob" but nothing is fixed and the "dbus_daemon_deluge.exe" continues to run after ending the process "deluge.exe"

I have Python 2.5.1 and Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable.
The following is the complete summary of my Deluge configurations.
