Deluge 0.9.08 100% cpu usage

I have recently upgraded from the 0.6.x branch to the 0.9.08 deluge and now I am having problems with deluge using 100% cpu for some reason and this is heavily impacting the download speeds. Although the download speed it is showing is good, because the cpu is being used for some other purpose by deluge that rate of download is not actually being achieved.

My computer is:
2.5GHz core2
2GB RAM

Is anyone else having these problems or have any advice on what the cause could be?

yes other people are experiencing it.

Ticket 348 is listed as major. I personally think that this ticket should be critical. It makes the client unusable if you leeching or seeding for more than a couple hours.

I hope that a fix for this problem is included in the next release.
