I had trouble installing the deb file. So i installed deluge from the ubuntu repository.
The latest build is 0.5
When will there be an update? possibly to version .9? or 1.0? in the respos?

I don't see how there could be a problem installing a deb file when it is exactly the same thing as available in the repository. Unless you were trying the deb of the wrong distro or architecture? Then there could be be obvious problems.
