Everytime I finish downloading a torrent it changes to 'seeding' but peers goes to 0 and I don't see any upload speed. Is it really seeding or is it being blocked by router?
While downloading it uploads (my share ratios are > 1.0), so I know it works.
I used the config wizard the first time to automatically adjust the settings.
Also the torrent tracker I tried (piratebay) keeps rejecting as 'corrupt' the .torrent upload file I create. What am I doing wrong?
My download speeds are mostly in the single and low double-digits (usually less than 25 KB/s), but it occasionally goes up to ~60's, (I have a 768 kbps down/128 up adsl line (PPPoE dynamic IP, dhcp, via wired D-link router). I've seen the upload peak at 9.0 KB/s (the default set by the wizard), so I guess that's ok too. But can I speed up the download speed? Do I need to do port forwarding in the router, or is the deluge default 'random ports' setting ok? And if I do manually set the ports, how do I know it's secure? There's a windows xp machine on the router too and I can't afford to risk opening the lan up to hackers!
Lots of questions, but the FAQ sucks, sorry, and I can't find a single really good howto/setup for deluge
help with creating torrent, dl/upload speeds, port forward
Re: help with creating torrent, dl/upload speeds, port forward
ok, i seem to have gotten it to work more or less properly, but my firewall config gui (Firestarter--I'm on UbuntuStudio 8.04) is still going crazy with blocked hits (always the same random port chosen by deluge)...it slowly eats up more and more CPU cycles over time as the blocked hits accumulate...isn't there a way to fix this without going to port forwarding?
anyone? please, I need help, I'd really like to use deluge, I'd prefer a native linux app over wine/uTorrent or java-laden azureus)
