Just another update on the Blocklist plugin. I was wrong, it does not remember the blocklist url even though when you reload deluge it still says 302388 blocked ip ranges, how can it remember the number of ip ranges without the url, and the fact it has gone back to the default setup. Am I protected or not?
Remembers it here...

Are you clicking on Apply or OK after changing the URL? You will need to do that before clicking on the Download or Import buttons or it will use the old URL.

Hi:

Yes, I was doing as exactly as you suggested but after I click quit, it returns to the emule ip list default but no blocklist url entered even though it says its still blocking ip addresses.

Just in case its something Im doing wrong, here are my settings:

Blocklist type: Peergaurdian text (Uncompressed)
Blocklist url: file:///C:\Users\Christian\Documents\delugeblocklist.p2p
and
import blocklist on daemon startup checked

What does the deluged.log tell you? It should have some error messages if it's not working properly.

1. Blocklist plugin is working. It tried using the old one because I didn't know which one to use. I had to close it and reopen it with the other one enabled and it works now. The menu looks a little different from the older one I think.
2. The torrent files are properly associated with Deluge now. It shows a python icon now, is there anyway to change it to a Deluge icon?
3. The open folder/open file still doesn't work.
4. This time it did mess with gtk for pidgin. I ended up having to reinstall their gtk 2.12.8 rev a because it said there was a file missing. And I'm also having problems changing the theme for Deluge but it works for pidgin.
5. There's still the overall slowness/lag? in the tabs, scrolling through torrents/files, opening preferences, right click menu. All that weren't there in 0.5.
6. Filename sorting in the list, a torrent that has both files and folders. I believe folders should be first. It's currently the other way around.
7. I think the share ratio is fixed too... have to wait and see.

No downloading possible for me, ubuntu 8.04.1 LTS AMD 64.

Seeding peers are shown but no data is received. Don't have deluge.log under my mouse, but this version is a no-go for me. And blocklist have to be hand-launched at every single deluge start :(

If it shows 302388 blocked ip's you are protected. It keeps the blocklist in a file called blocklist.cache. Then it loads that everytime you start deluge when that option is checked. As andar pointed out, the behavior of not remembering the url sounds a lot like the behavior of the old "Block List" plugin rather then the new "Blocklist" plugin. If you can locate the deluged.log file and post what errors you see when filing in the url you'd like, then clicking Apply, then OK it would be most helpful. I'd also suggest doing the following:
1. Disable the Blocklist plugin
2. Closing deluge
3. delete the blocklist.cache and blocklist.conf files. (in Windows the files are located in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\deluge\)
4. Start deluge, enable the blocklist plugin, enter the settings you want, then click, Apply, then OK.
5. Open the Blocklist preferences again, make sure your settings were saved, then click Download, then Import once the download is finished.
