IPV6 ?

Post by vlad59 »

Hi,

I'm currently using deluge 0.5.9.3 with debian lenny. I tried yesterday to download on an ipv6 only tracker (like http://www.sixxs.net/tools/tracker/catalog/). I didn't have any success.

So my question is :
Is IPV6 supported in 1.0.0.0 ?

It looks like libtorrent works with IPV6 so there should be no problem but I'll prefer to check before installing the newest release.

Thanks in advance.

It defaults to IPV4 if available. Currently there is no way to force an IPV6 connection, but it likely come in 1.1.0.

I tested the 1.1.0_RC2 yesterday. At the moment there's no IPV6 configuration available... Perhaps it'll be in the final release?!
As I'm migrating some services to IPV6 it'll be nice to keep deluge as torrent client, but it needs IPV6 support like other clients
listed here: http://www.sixxs.net/tools/tracker/clients/

In the meantime e.g. thepiratebay.org enabled its ipv6 tracker. Is force IPv6 still on the deluge TODO list?
