0.5.6 does not save to preferred directory

using 0.5.6 on gutsy

even though I have /home/bionnaki/torrents selected
deluge saves everything to /home/bionnaki
until I change it back to the torrent directory.
upon restart, however, deluge goes back to saving in home.

whats the deal?

Yep, same problem here.

this is a stupid gtk bug that sometimes the drop down box shows a different dir. the right dir does get saved, though. you can check in the prefs file if you're skeptic. ~/.config/deluge/prefs.state

markybob i checked the file you said and indeed it does say the folder i want to save it to but the downloads still appear in the home folder.

Id thought id take some screen shot to show the problem

First, download location set to /home/mark/Downloads/ no torrents in deluge i then quit deluge.


Restarted deluge and checked setting it now says my home folder, this could have been that error you mentioned, ie it does save to /home/user/Downloads/ but displays my home folder.


My home folder immediately after adding a torrent(ubuntu-7.10-dvd-i386.iso) to deluge, my download folder is empty by the way

yes, I am still having this problem. exactly as sleepyenglish has documented. using 0.5.6.2

Yes I can confirm this issue 5.6.2 it always resets the folder location.
