Config files are stored in ~/.config/deluge and uninstalling deluge doesn't remove them, although it would be good practice to make a backup before each upgrade.

in linux ~ means your home directory.
so the folder is in a folder called .config in your home folder.

if you're using the terminal you can copy that folder directory using something like

Code: Select all

cp -r ~/.config/deluge ~/deluge-backup
which will create a copy of your settings in your home folder called deluge-backup

if you're using nautilus (the file browser), then by default files and folders that begin with . are hidden (this is like hidden/system files in windows)
there's an option to show hidden files under view (if I recall correctly Ctrl+H is the shortcut key to enable/disable showing hidden files/folders).
you'll then be able to see heaps of folders and files beginning with . (including .config) and from there you should be set.

If 5.9.1 is banned because it is outdated I doubt 5.9.3 is not banned just being the latest official build.
