I'm running Deluge 0.5.9.3 on Ubuntu 8.04. Ever since I upgraded Ubuntu Deluge forgets the directory I set for the downloads to be downloaded to nearly every time I start it. It changes it to "My Downloads" in my home directory. But there's not enough disk space and so everything stops. To get it going I have to reset the download directory and force a recheck (which can take ages). Sometimes this does not work and I must re-download the torrent file.
Recently, things have got worse as it can loose whatever it has downloaded and will start from 0% again.
This does not happen under Ubuntu 7.10 (Feisty).
Has anyone got any idea what's going on? I've started using uTorrent under Wine again for big downloads as a work round. Then I can keep an eye on Deluge (new versions etc) and see if the problem goes away.

0.5.9.3 and Ubuntu 8.04 reseting my download directory
Re: 0.5.9.3 and Ubuntu 8.04 reseting my download directory
Sorry I can't help you, but I can report that I have exactly the same problem, The difference being, I had never used Deluge while under Ubuntu 8.04 but staring using it with 8.10 and had no problems for the last two months, But all of a sudden, I started getting the same problems as you are experiencing. Maybe that will give someone some clues about our problem
